Birdie privacy policy

Effective October 12, 2026

Birdie is a Mac app from agentcoo. This policy describes Birdie's use of dictation, Assistant, Slack, and Google Calendar data. Contact beiming@agentcoo.io for privacy or support requests.

Data Birdie can access

Birdie transcribes speech on your Mac. It saves dictation text locally. The Assistant can use your requests, screenshots, tool results, and text from apps you ask it to use.

If you connect Slack, Birdie can search public channels, private channels, group messages, and direct messages. It can read messages, threads, channel names, and user information that your Slack account can access. Birdie requests read scopes for these features. It cannot post or change Slack content through this connector.

If you connect Google Calendar, Birdie can list your calendars, read events, and check free or busy times. Event results can include titles, times, locations, descriptions, organizers, attendees, responses, and event links. Birdie requests the calendar.readonly scope. It cannot change calendar data through this connector.

How Birdie uses and shares data

Birdie reads connected services when you ask the Assistant to complete a task that needs them. Birdie sends the request and relevant connector results to your selected AI provider. You can use Codex sign-in, an OpenAI API key, or a compatible API endpoint that you set. The provider processes this data under its own terms and retention rules.

Birdie also sends Assistant screenshots and tool results to that provider when a task needs them. Optional cloud cleanup sends dictation text to the selected provider. Optional Live voice sends microphone audio to OpenAI. Speech recognition and local cleanup run on your Mac.

Birdie does not sell connector data or use it for ads. Birdie itself does not train AI models on Slack or Google Calendar data. It uses local records of requests and tool results to improve how the Assistant completes your tasks. Birdie can include relevant saved lessons in later requests to your selected AI provider. Birdie does not send these records to agentcoo. The provider's data use depends on its terms and your account settings.

Birdie uses Google Calendar data to answer or improve the task you ask it to do. This use is limited to user-facing Assistant features.

Storage and retention

Birdie stores Slack and Google OAuth tokens, connection settings, and cached Slack tool descriptions in a private file on your Mac. It does not put these tokens on agentcoo servers. Birdie keeps Assistant conversations on your Mac after a session ends. These conversations can contain connector results and screenshots. Starting a new conversation does not delete the old one.

Birdie keeps its Activity record for up to 90 days and 10 MB. Activity stores requests, replies, and action details. It does not store screenshots or sent message bodies. Local lesson records can contain facts from tool calls. Birdie removes lesson facts older than 90 days when the lesson store runs. Conversation files have no automatic expiry. Discussion records stay on your Mac until you delete them in Assistant settings. Saved discussion documents remain after that deletion.

Your controls and requests

Open Birdie's left sidebar. Select Assistant, then Connections to control connector tools. Disconnect removes that connector's local tokens and asks Slack or Google to revoke access. Revocation can fail if the service cannot be reached. Disconnect does not delete earlier Assistant conversations, Activity records, lesson records, documents, or provider copies.

You can clear Activity in Birdie and delete discussion records in Assistant settings. You can also remove Birdie's local app data from your Mac. Email beiming@agentcoo.io to request access, transfer, or deletion guidance for data handled by agentcoo. Include no passwords or tokens. For copies held by Slack, Google, or your AI provider, use that service's account controls.

Changes

We will update this page if Birdie's data use changes. We will request new consent before Birdie uses Google data for a new purpose.
